Craving a smoky, protein‑rich snack? This high‑protein soya chaap tikka is flavourful, juicy, and very easy to make at home.

200–250 g soya chaap (sticks or pieces)
1/2 cup thick curd (yoghurt)
1 tbsp ginger‑garlic paste
1 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp garam masala
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp mustard oil
Salt to taste
Capsicum and onion cubes (optional)

Cut the soya chaap into medium pieces or remove from sticks, then rinse lightly and pat dry.

In a bowl, mix curd, spices, ginger‑garlic paste, lemon juice, and mustard oil to make a rich marinade.

Add the chaap pieces to the marinade and mix well so every piece is evenly coated.

Cover and allow it to marinate for at least 30 minutes so the flavours soak in properly.
Thread the chaap with onion and capsicum onto skewers, then grill or pan‑cook until golden and lightly charred.
