Cream cheese is a soft, mild-tasting fresh cheese made from milk and cream. It is commonly used in cheesecakes, as a spread for sandwiches and bagels, and as a dip for snacks.

Store-bought cream cheese can be expensive. If you want a fresh, creamy, and budget-friendly alternative, you can make it at home with just a few ingredients. Here is how:

-4 cups full-fat milk
-1 cup fresh cream
-A pinch of salt
-3 tablespoons vinegar

Pour the milk and cream into a saucepan. Heat on a low flame, ensuring it does not boil.

Once warm, add a pinch of salt and vinegar. Stir continuously until the milk curdles.

Strain the curdled milk through a muslin cloth, separating the whey. Set the whey aside for other uses.
Transfer the strained cheese into a blender. Blend until smooth and creamy.

Store in an airtight container. Cover with cling film to prevent drying and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before use.
