A cup of freshly brewed filter coffee at a South Indian restaurant always hits the spot. Here is how you can prepare this aromatic coffee at home.

-1 1/2 cup water
-3 tbsp coffee powder
-1 1/2 cup milk
-4 tsp sugar

Take a filter coffee vessel and add 3 tbsp of filter coffee powder into the perforated container. Press tightly with the help of the pressing disk.

Boil 1 1/2 cups of water and pour slowly into the top vessel, covering almost full.

Cover with the lid and let it rest for 30 minutes without disturbing.

Once the decoction is ready, transfer some of it in a dabara (traditional glass), based on how intense you want the coffee.

Add 1 tsp of sugar or adjust to your sweetness. Next, pour hot boiling milk based on how milky you prefer your coffee.

Now, transfer the coffee from one glass to another to mix everything and get a nice froth. Serve immediately.
