How To Make Banana Bread At Home

Loved for its sweet and comforting flavour, banana bread is soft, fluffy and easy to make. It is perfect for breakfast or a snack. Here's how you can make banana bread at home.

1. Gather Ingredients

You will need bananas, flour, sugar, eggs, butter, baking soda and salt. Make sure the bananas are ripe to bake sweet and moist banana bread.

2. Prepare The Dish

Grease a microwave-safe dish or any baking pan of your choice with butter. Line it with parchment paper for easy removal of bread after it's baked.

3. Mash Bananas And Mix Wet Items

In a bowl, mash 3-4 ripe bananas until smooth. Add butter, sugar, one egg, and one tsp of vanilla extract. Mix all the ingredients well.

4. Combine Dry Ingredients

In another bowl, mix all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and a pinch of salt. Mix all the ingredients well to ensure even baking.

5. Combine All Ingredients

Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing gently until just combined. Make sure not to overmix to keep the bread moist.

6. Bake

Pour the batter into the greased pan and bake for 50 minutes. See if it's done by inserting a toothpick in the centre. Once done, slice the banana bread and enjoy.
