Makhani gravy is a creamy base that amps up many dishes. Use it to make paneer, chicken, or veggies, and your meal will be sorted! Here's how you can make this at home.

1 onion
300g tomatoes
2.5 tbsp butter
1 cinnamon stick
1-inch ginger
1 tsp black pepper
Salt
1.5 tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1.5 cups milk

Take a pan and heat it on medium flame. Melt butter and then add cinnamon, ginger, and onions. Saute till golden brown and aromatic.

Now in the pan, add chopped tomatoes and salt. Cook until the tomatoes are soft. Add Kashmiri red chilli powder and coriander powder.

Once the tomatoes are mushy and cooked, cool the mixture slightly. Then blend it into a smooth paste and strain it for a silky texture.

Transfer the mixture to a pan and gradually add milk. Keep stirring to avoid curdling. Simmer for 5 minutes so that the gravy thickens.

Once the gravy cooks, use it to make a variety of dishes like paneer makhani, malai kofta, and butter chicken. Pair it with roti and enjoy!
