Dahi Boondi Chaat is one of the most loved street food snacks in India. If you have been craving something quick, refreshing and full of taste, this recipe is a perfect choice for your next snack break. Here is how you can make it step by step.

1 cup boondi
1 1/2 cup curd, whipped
5 papdi
1/4 cup boiled chickpeas
1 boiled potato
1/2 onion, finely chopped
1/2 tomato, finely chopped
Salt to taste
Chaat masala
Red chilli powder, to taste
Cumin powder
Green chutney
Tamarind chutney
Sev for garnish
Fresh coriander for garnish

Take the whipped curd in a bowl and add half of the boondi to it. Sprinkle salt and cumin powder as per taste and mix well until the boondi is coated. This forms the creamy base for the chaat.

Spread this mixture evenly on a plate. Break the papdi into pieces and arrange them on top. Add the boiled chickpeas and diced boiled potato. Sprinkle red chilli powder to give it a spicy kick.

Add another layer of curd over the mixture and then top it with the remaining boondi. Sprinkle roasted cumin powder for added flavour.

Add green chutney first, followed by tamarind chutney for a perfect balance of tangy and sweet. Finally, sprinkle chaat masala over the top. Garnish with freshly chopped coriander and a generous handful of sev.

You can also add pomegranate seeds for a burst of freshness and colour. Feel free to include extra toppings of your choice like crushed papdi or extra chutney to make it even more indulgent.
