How To Make Fish Tikka In Just 10 Minutes

Tandoori fish tikka is a popular snack and a perfect appetiser to serve at a dinner party. Try this lip-smacking fish tikka recipe that can be prepared in just 10 minutes (excluding marination time).

Ingredients:

1 cup thick yoghurt
4 tbsp oil
1 onion (paste)
1 tbsp ginger paste
1 tbsp garlic paste
4 tbsp lemon juice
½ tsp turmeric
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp cumin powder

Ingredients:

¼ tsp nutmeg powder
1 tbsp red chilli powder
Salt to taste
Fresh coriander for garnish
Fish fillets (boneless, as needed)

Step-1

In a large bowl, add yoghurt, oil, onion paste, ginger paste, garlic paste, and lemon juice. Whisk everything together to form a smooth marinade.

Add the turmeric, coriander powder, cumin powder, nutmeg powder, red chilli powder, and salt. Mix well to combine.

Add the fish fillets to the marinade. Using your hands or a spoon, coat the fish pieces evenly on both sides.

Step-4

Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least one hour. After marination, skewer the fish pieces and optionally sprinkle some chopped coriander on top.

Step-5

Cook the skewered fish in an oven, on a grill, or in a pan for 10–15 minutes, or until fully cooked and lightly charred. Serve hot with green chutney.
