Gajar ka halwa is a winter delight. This dessert is made with carrots, milk, mawa, sugar, and dry fruits. Here, we bring a delicious version of it, made without sugar. Try this version at home.

Wash the carrots, peel them, and grate them. Always choose the thick side of your grater for the perfect texture.

Heat pure ghee in a non-stick kadai. Add the grated carrots and sauté for about 10 minutes. Add milk and cook it.

Take another pan, add a small amount of ghee, and put in dry fruits like almonds, cashews, and pistachios. Keep them aside.

Remember, both mawa and carrots have natural sweetness, so you can skip sugar. Instead, you can add date paste, which is a healthier option.

Patience is key! Cook your halwa slowly until the colour shifts from bright orange to a deep, inviting shade of orange.
