When the heat gets unbearable, a chilled glass of chaas feels like pure relief. Chaas is a traditional Indian drinks, made with curd and spices. It is comes in delicious variations.

This version of chaas is packed with garlic and coriander, which adds a punch of flavour and health benefits too. Sip on this refreshing summer drink for a quick energy boost.

1 cup of yogurt
2 cloves of garlic
2 sprigs of coriander leaves
3-4 curry leaves
Half a tsp roasted cumin-red chilli powder
Black salt, to taste
Water, as required

Crush the garlic and coriander leaves using a mortar and pestle or a rolling pin. Set it aside.

Add the yogurt and enough water to a blender. Blend until the mixture turns smooth and frothy.

Add black salt and the crushed garlic-coriander mix. Stir everything together until well combined.

Transfer the chaas into a jug. Drop in some ice cubes and curry leaves to keep it cool and aromatic.
