This no-fuss matar pulao is your go-to winter comfort dish. Packed with tender peas and fragrant basmati rice, it's a crowd-pleaser across all age groups.

2 cups basmati rice (washed and soaked for at least 1 hour), 2 tbsp ghee, 1 tbsp cumin seeds, 1 tbsp shredded ginger, 2 cups shelled peas,

2 tsp coriander powder, 1 tsp garam masala, Salt to taste, 1 tsp turmeric powder, Water

Heat ghee in a pan over low-medium heat. Add cumin seeds and ginger. Let them sizzle and release their aroma.

Toss in the soaked rice and peas, mixing them gently.

Sprinkle garam masala, coriander powder, turmeric, salt, and red chili powder over the mixture. Stir well to coat everything evenly.

Pour in some water, just enough to cook the rice. Stir once for good measure.
