How To Make Multigrain Idli

If you're looking for a healthy breakfast that's packed with  nutrients, then this multigrain idli a perfect dish. It's made with a blend of jowar, bajra, wheat & ragi flours.

Ingredients: 

1/2 cup ragi flour, 1/2 cup bajra flour, 1/2 cup jowar flour, 1/3 cup whole wheat flour, 1/2 cup urad dal, 2 tsp fenugreek seeds,1 tsp salt, Oil

Step-1

Soak the urad dal and fenugreek seeds in enough water for around two hours.

Once soaked, drain the water, and blend the dal and fenugreek with about 1/2 cup of fresh water until you get a smooth batter.

Step-3

In a large bowl, pour the batter and add all the flour & salt. Stir in about a cup of water and whisk until smooth. Cover the bowl and leave it to ferment overnight.

Step-4

After the batter has fermented, give it a good stir. Grease your idli moulds with oil, then pour the batter into each mould.

Step-5

Steam the idlis for about 15 minutes or until they're cooked through. Repeat with the rest of the batter. Serve hot with some sambar on the side.
