Looking for a healthy snack? Then try this delicious oats moong dal tikki — full of flavour and guilt-free! This tikki is made with the goodness of protein-packed moong dal, fibre-rich oats, and aromatic spices.

You can either shallow fry or air-fry them — the choice is yours. Try this quick and easy snack recipe at home. Here's how:

¾ cup moong dal
¾ cup oats
1 onion, finely chopped
1 carrot, grated
1 tbsp curd (dahi)
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp red chilli powder
Salt, to taste
1 tbsp oil
A handful of coriander leaves, chopped
Water, as required

Wash the moong dal thoroughly and soak it in water. Then pressure cook it with some water until soft. Once done, mash it well and set aside.

Dry roast the oats in a pan until golden brown. Once cooled, transfer them to a mixer grinder and grind into a coarse powder. (Keep a little aside for coating the tikkis later.)

In a mixing bowl, add the mashed dal, grated carrot, chopped onion, and prepared oat powder.

Add red chilli powder, garam masala, chopped coriander leaves, and salt. Mix well. Add the curd and combine everything to form a smooth dough.

Divide the dough into equal portions and shape into tikkis. Coat each tikki with the reserved oat powder.

Heat oil in a pan. Place the tikkis and shallow fry until golden brown and crispy on both sides.
