Soak 1 cup mixed lentils (toor, moong, chana) for 30 minutes. Pressure cook with turmeric, salt, and water.

Heat ghee, add cumin, hing, garlic, green chilies, and tomatoes. Saute and mix with cooked dal. Simmer for 10 minutes.

Mix whole wheat flour, semolina, ghee, ajwain, and salt. Knead a stiff dough using water. Let it rest for 15 minutes.

Shape dough into round balls. Bake in oven or tandoor until golden and crisp. Dip hot baatis in melted ghee.
