A South Indian summer staple, rice kanji is traditionally consumed for breakfast to stay cool throughout the day.
It works as a natural probiotic that not only helps regulate your digestion but also prevents sunstroke.
A South Indian summer staple, rice kanji is traditionally consumed for breakfast to stay cool throughout the day.
1 cup rice
Half glass buttermilk
Salt, to taste
1 tsp carrom seeds (ajwain)
Cook the rice, strain the water and let it cool completely.
Add buttermilk, salt, and some ajwain to the rice. Mix everything and let it sit overnight.
The next morning, again, give everything a mix. Next, eat with onion, green chilli and pickle.
