1. Prepare The Idlis

To begin with, steam fresh idlis or use leftover ones. Cut them into halves or quarters to make them easy to crisp on the tawa.

2. Make Spicy Masala

In a pan, heat oil and saute mustard seeds, curry leaves, and chopped onions. Add chilli powder, turmeric powder, and garam masala.

3. Toast Idlis On Tawa

Heat a little oil on the tawa and place the cut idlis. Cook them until golden and crispy on both sides for a crunchy texture.

4. Toss In Masala

Add the prepared spicy masala to the crispy idlis on the tawa. Toss gently to coat the idlis evenly with the flavourful mixture.

5. Garnish And Serve

Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and a squeeze of lemon. Serve hot with chutney or sambar for the perfect spicy snack!
