How To Make Sweet And Comforting Dates Halwa

Dates Halwa is one of those feel-good, festive treats packed with the rich flavours of ghee, dates, and crunchy cashews. Here's a simple recipe to try:

Ingredients:

200 gm dates (seedless, chopped), 1 cup milk, 1 1/4 cups powdered sugar, 1/4 cup ghee, 100 gm cashew nuts, 1/4 tsp elaichi powder

Step 1:

Start by adding milk and chopped dates to a pan. Bring it to a boil, then lower the heat and cook until it thickens up nicely.

Step 2:

In a separate pan, fry the cashews in half the ghee until golden. Set them aside for later.

Step 3:

Once the date mixture gets thick, stir in sugar, ghee, and fried cashews. Cook until the mixture starts pulling away from the sides of the pan.

Step 4:

Add in the elaichi powder, give it a good mix, and then spread the halwa into a thin layer on a greased surface. Let it cool down and set.

Once it's set, cut it into slices, and you're good to go! Enjoy your homemade Dates Halwa.
