French fries are a classic snack we all love, but have you ever tried giving sweet potatoes a shot? They're crispy & super easy to whip up at home. Follow the step by step recipe.

1 medium sweet potato, 2 tbsp rice flour, 2 tbsp corn flour, 30-40 ml club soda, 1 tsp Mexican chili powder (or any chili powder), A few oreganos leaves, 1 tsp salt

2-3 tbsp eggless mayonnaise, 1/2 garlic clove (squeezed), 1 tbsp shallots, 3-4 pickled jalapeƱos, 2-3 fresh basil leaves, 1 tbsp amla, Salt and pepper, 1 1/2 tsp jalapeƱo juice

Wash the sweet potato thoroughly to remove any dirt. Slice it thinly and soak the slices in a bowl of chilled water.

In a stainless steel or glass bowl, whisk together all the batter ingredients until smooth.

Mix some rice flour, corn flour, salt, pepper, Mexican chili powder, and oregano in a separate bowl to use as a dry dredge for the sweet potato slices.

Drain the sweet potato slices and pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel. Coat them with the dry flour mix, dip them in the batter, and deep-fry them in hot oil until golden and crispy.

For the dip, combine all the ingredients in a bowl and blend until smooth. Chill the dip in the fridge for a bit before serving it alongside your sweet potato fries.
