How To Store Semolina (Suji)

Semolina is a staple in Indian kitchens, but finding worms in it can be a bummer. No worries though! Here are some super simple tips to keep your suji fresh and worm-free.

1. Dry Roast it

Give your semolina a quick dry roast in a pan, let it cool off, & then stash it in a jar. Whenever you need some, just scoop out what you need.

2. Add a Cinnamon Twist

Grab a dry pan, spread out your suji, & toss in a cinnamon stick. Roast it on low heat for few seconds. Once it cools, store it into a glass jar.

3. Bay Leaf Magic

To keep those pesky worms away, add a couple of bay leaves to your semolina jar. Make sure the jar is sealed tight to keep everything fresh.

4. Airtight Containers

For best results, store your semolina in a glass or metal jar with an airtight seal. This helps keep out moisture and keeps those worms at bay.
