Ingredients:

4 tomatoes, chopped, 1 onion, chopped, 1/2 tsp haldi, 1 tsp red chilli powder, 2-3 green chillies, 1-2 garlic cloves, 1/2 tsp jeera, 1/2 tsp coriander seeds

1 tsp urad dal1 tsp mustard seeds2-3 tbsp oilSalt to tasteA handful of curry leaves1 tbsp tamarind paste

Step-1

Heat some oil in a pan. Once it's hot, add jeera, curry leaves, coriander seeds, and garlic cloves. Stir them together and let the aroma fill the air.

Toss in the chopped onions and green chillies. Cook them until the onions turn golden brown and everything is sizzling.

Add the chopped tomatoes, haldi, tamarind paste, and a pinch of salt. Stir everything well and cook for 2-3 minutes to blend the flavours.

Pop the lid on and let the tomatoes cook down until soft. Once they're nice and tender, add red chilli powder and fresh coriander leaves. Give it a good mix.

Turn off the heat and let the mixture cool. Then, throw it into a mixer grinder and blend it into a smooth paste.
