Diners can select three still and four sparkling bottled waters, alongside complimentary tap water.

Water expert Doran Binder, who supplies the restaurant with their house water, inspired the creation of the menu.

Like wine, waters change flavour with food, enhancing cheeses, ham, olives and even chocolate.

The menu features waters from Britain, France, Spain and Portugal. Prices range from Rs 585 to Rs 2,223 a bottle.

"The measurement of minerals in water is what drives taste and flavour," Binder told CNN.

How the water is served is also important for the flavour. La Popote serves the water at room temperature with ice and lemon.
