Pootharekulu is a traditional sweet from Andhra Pradesh-served during festivals, religious events, and weddings across the region.

What Is This Sweet Made Of

It is made of thin rice sheets layered with jaggery, ghee, and dry fruits. These sheets are made by grinding rice and water for 2 hours.

This sweet comes from Atreyapuram Village in Andhra Pradesh. Women make the sweets while the men usually handle the distribution part.
