Love malai kulfi? You can make this creamy summer dessert at home using just five simple ingredients. No preservatives, no fuss. Here is how to do it.

2 cups full-fat milk, 1 cup heavy cream, 1/2 cup sugar, 1/4 tsp cardamom powder, 1/4 tsp saffron threads, chopped nuts for garnish.

Bring the full-fat milk to a boil in a heavy-bottomed pan. Keep stirring it now and then until it thickens and reduces to half. Let it cool.

Add heavy cream, sugar, cardamom powder, and saffron threads to the cooled milk. Stir everything well until the sugar is fully mixed in.

Pour this creamy kulfi mixture into moulds. Chill it in the fridge for 2 hours or pop it in the freezer for 30 minutes to rest.
Once frozen, take the moulds out and dip them in warm water for a few seconds. Slide the kulfi out and top with chopped nuts before serving.
