Chop and cook tomatoes and garlic in water until soft and mushy. This will form the base of the ketchup and add a garlic flavour to it.

After it's soft, put the mixture in a mixer and blend into a smooth puree. Strain the puree through a sieve or mesh to remove seeds and skin from it.

Add vinegar to the mixture and continue to cook for a few minutes. The vinegar will add a tangy flavour to the ketchup and balance the sweetness.
