- Lemon wedges (for garnish)
How to Make Air Fryer Tandoori Fish Tikka
1.
Wash the fish and pat dry with kitchen tissue to absorb all the moisture. Cut the fillets into small pieces.
2.
Put the fish in a big bowl and marinate it with all the ingredients – whisked yoghurt, ginger-garlic paste, red chilli powder, black pepper, garam masala, dried fenugreek, and salt. Mix the ingredients well and coat the fish pieces well. Cover the bowl with a lid and leave it inside a refrigerator for 4-5 hours or overnight.
3.
After the fish pieces are marinated, preheat your air fryer to 180°C for around 5-6 minutes.
4.
Now take skewers and thread the marinated fish pieces in them. Make sure to soak the wooden skewers in water for 45 minutes to prevent them from burning.
5.
Line the air fryer rack with parchment paper and gently put the skewers with marinated fish pieces on it. Make sure not to overcrowd the air fryer rack with pieces so that there is enough hot air movement inside the appliance.
6.
Cook the marinated fish skewers for 10-12 minutes. Keep an eye on the fish and flip it midway to ensure even cooking. The fish would turn golden brown in the process. Now remove them from the air fryer rack.
7.
Put all the skewers on a large plate and arrange them in a circle. Put a hot coal piece in a steel bowl, and add a little ghee on top of it so that it starts to release smoke. Cover the plate with a lid so that the fish tikkas absorb the tandoor essence.
8.
Sprinkle some chaat masala on top of it, garnish with chopped coriander and keep lemon wedges beside it. And voila! Your Air fryer tandoori fish tikka is ready to serve!
