Ingredients of Beetroot Halwa
- 500 gms beetroot
- 180 gms sugar
- 500 gms milk
- 3 gms cardamom powder
- 30 gms almonds
- 50 gms cashew nuts
- 60 gms ghee
- 100 gms khoya
How to Make Beetroot Halwa
Pre-Preparation:

Wash, peel the skin and grate beetroot.
2.
Put almonds in boiling water, remove the skin and pat it dry. Cut it into thin strips.

Heat a tsp of ghee, fry cashew nuts and keep it aside.
Prepare Halwa:

In the pan, heat a tbsp of ghee, add grated beetroot and fry on low heat until the raw smell goes.

Then add milk and cook the beetroot on low flame, stirring in between. Cook till the beetroot becomes soft and all the milk evaporates.
3.
Then add sugar, khoya and cook till sugar dissolves and gets mixed well with the beetroot.
4.
Add cardamom powder, remaining ghee and cook stirring for a few more seconds on low heat.
5.
Garnish with cashew nuts, almonds and mix well. Serve hot or warm.
