Ingredients of Peanut Tikki

  • 1 roasted and coarsely ground peanuts
  • 2 medium-sized boiled potatoes, mashed
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • A pinch of asafoetida
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Fresh coriander, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for cooking

How to Make Peanut Tikki

In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed potatoes and coarsely ground peanuts.

Sprinkle the red chilli powder, garam masala, cumin powder, and a pinch of asafoetida over the mixture.

Then add the bread crumbs to the mixture, squeeze in the lemon juice, throw in some freshly chopped coriander, and season with salt.

Mix mix all the ingredients thoroughly until they're well combined.

Divide the mixture into small portions and shape them into flat tikki patties.

Shallow fry in a pan over medium heat.
7.
Let the tikki cook on one side for about 3-4 minutes.

Gently flip and cook the other side until it achieves golden brown perfection.
