Ingredients of Kotte Kadubu

  • 4 Jack fruit leaves
  • 2 cups Unroasted rava
  • 1 cup Urad dal
  • As required Water
  • to taste Salt

How to Make Kotte Kadubu

Soak urad dal in water for two hours, after two hours, drain the water and keep it aside.

Add the urad dal into a blender with 5-6 tablespoons of water and grind it until a smooth batter is formed.

If the batter appears to be thick and coarse, then add more water.

Let the batter rest for 7-8 hours so that it is fermented.

After fermentation, the batter would have risen and some salt and your kotte kadubu batter is ready.

For making the cups of jackfruit leaves, take three leaves and pin them together in a standing position. Pin the fourth leaf in a diagonally.
7.
Lastly pour your batter into the leaf cup and steam it for 20-25 minutes.
8.
Your kotte kadubu is ready to be served and enjoyed.
