Ingredients of Tava Chana

  • 2 cup boiled kabuli chana
  • 2-3 tbsp oil
  • 1-2 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 3-4 green chillies, chopped
  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
  • 1 whole red chilli
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp coriander seeds
  • 1 tsp amchoor powder
  • 1-2 tsp tandoori masala
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Kasuri methi or coriander leaves, for garnish

How to Make Tava Chana

Dry roast cumin, coriander and red chilli and coarsely pound in mortar pestle.

Heat oil on a tawa and saute onion. To it, add ginger garlic paste and onion and fry until the raw smell eliminates.

Add tomato to it and mix everything well. Add the powdered masalas and the cumin-coriander paste and saute on high flame until the mix leaves oil.

Adjust salt as per your taste. Once you are satisfied with the masala, add kabuli chana and coat it well.
5.
Garnish with kasuri methi or coriander leaves and serve.
