Lamb chunks cooked with vegetables, beer and jaggery to make a scrumptious lamb casserole.

Ingredients of Lamb Casserole
- 4 Tbsp oil
- 750 gm boneless lamb - cut into 2
- 1/2 kg sliced onions
- 1 tsp garlic paste
- 1 Tbsp flour
- 250 ml stock
- 250 ml beer
- 1 tsp vinegar
- 1/2 tsp grated jaggery
- 1 tsp mustard powder
- 1 bay leaf
- 200 gm baby carrots
- 100 gm sliced celery stalks
- 1 Tbsp chopped parsley
How to Make Lamb Casserole

Heat oil in a large pan. Brown meat. Remove from pan.

Add onions to same oil and fry until browned. After 5 minutes stir in garlic.

Dust in flour. After 1 minute, pour in stock and beer. Bring to a simmer.

Return meat to the pan. Add vinegar, jaggery, mustard powder, bay leaf, carrots and celery. Season.
5.
Cover tightly and cook on a gentle flame for 1 hour until meat is tender.
6.
Serve garnished with chopped parsley.
