About Paneer Malpua Recipe | Malpua Recipe: A popular, pancake-like Indian dessert from North India which is usually prepared on festivals and special occasions. A delicious Indian dessert which is soaked in syrup before serving. Quite popular in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and parts of West Bengal, with each having a different version of cooking it. This version is made with paneer and khoya. This paneer Malpua is not only tasty but also a healthy dessert. Sugar syrup adds to a wonderful taste.

Ingredients of Paneer Malpua

  • For Malpua:
  • 100 gms malai paneer
  • 3 tbsp khoya
  • 8 tsp milk
  • 1 tsp powdered Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
  • 2 tbsp maida
  • 1 cup ghee
  • For Sugar Syrup:
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 tsp saffron
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
  • 1 tsp dry fruits

How to Make Paneer Malpua

Prepare Malpuas:

1.
First make a batter of paneer pieces, Khoya and 4 tsp milk in a mixer grinder.

Beat it enough to get a thick smooth batter.
3.
Pour the batter in a bowl and add powdered sugar, cardamom powder and maida.
4.
Add more milk if required and beat it well.
5.
Now in a pan heat ghee to make malpuas.
6.
Drop about a tablespoon of the batter into it and cook until light brown on both sides.

Prepare Sugar Syrup:

1.
In another pan add sugar and water. Let the sugar dissolve.
2.
Add saffron for fragrance and mix well.
3.
Add cardamom powder and dry fruits. Mix and boil it for thick smooth syrup.
4.
Immerse malpuas in sugar syrup for 10-15 minutes.
5.
After malpua soaks the syrup, serve it hot garnished with dry fruits.
