Indian fast-bowler Ashish Nehra is all set to retire from international cricket today. Ashish Nehra's farewell match is keenly anticipated by all his fans.  Nehra will play his farewell match against New Zealand today at Feroz Shah Kotla ground in Delhi. Making his India debut back in 1999 under Mohammed Azharuddin, Nehra has so far played 17 Tests, 120 ODIs and 26 T20 Internationals for the country. He has picked 44 Test wickets, besides 157 ODI and 34 T20 scalps. The announcement of his retirement has caused an uproar amongst his fans on social media, most of whom can't stop thanking the cricketer for his great contribution to Indian cricket. 
Ashish Nehra who recently made news for his selection in the ongoing T20 series against Australia continues giving us fitness goals at 38. Former Indian cricketer and fast batsman Virendra Sehwag also praised Nehra for his determination towards being fit and active at this age. Sehwag noted that Nehra's recent score 17-18 in the Yo-Yo Test, almost touching captain Virat Kohli's score, speaks volume of his fitness and skills as an athlete. He then proceeds to take a breakfast of muesli with cold milk with bananas. Some days he also opts for porridege, fried omlette, toast and a cup of milk or banana smoothie. In a span of 15-20 days, Nehra also has a hearty breakfast of Aloo paratha and a bowl of curd.

Lunch for the fast bowler is mostly vegetarian, preferably a simple meal of dal, subzi, roti and rice. Apart from Indian Nehra also enjoys Chinese and Thai cuisine.Ashish Nehra's Fitness RegimeYou would be surprised to know that Ashish Nehra has had a total of 12 surgeries and yet manages to hit the gym and train as religiously each day. His workout is a mix of gymming for about five or six times a week, swimming for about two or three times a week and yoga. He is also fond of running, if by any chance he misses out on his training before his practice sessions he makes sure he runs around the field to warm up. He spends 4-5 hours daily at the nets. Apart from cricket, Nehra also enjoys soccer.Nehra who believes his genetically lean body structure has helped him in his journey as a bowler, is also of a firm belief that there is no shortcut to success. Being active both physically and mentally is an utmost requirement to succeed in any sport.
