Ingredients of Andhra Style Guntur Idli

  • 5-6 steamed idlis
  • 7-8 guntur chilies
  • 11/2 Tbsp tur dal
  • 11/2 Tbsp chana dal
  • 11/2 Tbsp urad dal
  • 1-2 Tbsp coriander seeds
  • 1 sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp black pepper or pepper powder
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • Pinch of hing
  • Salt as per taste
  • 1 small piece tamarind

How to Make Andhra Style Guntur Idli

In a hot pan add 3-4 tablespoons of ghee. Heat it on low flame.

Add the steamed idlis in the ghee and let it cook for 3-4 minutes.

Now add 1-2 tablespoons of Guntur powder on the idli and gently toss the idlis.

You can add more ghee on idlis if they look dry.

Serve it hot with coconut chuntey or tomato ketchup.
