Rava handvo preparations needs no major planning. It is a quick, healthy and scrumptious dish made with sooji, lauki (bottle gourd), beetroot and dahi.

Ingredients of Gujarati Rava Handvo
- 1/2 cup Sooji
- 1/2 cup Lauki, grated
- 1/2 cup Beetroot, grated
- 3/4 cup Dahi
- 1 sachet Fruit salt
- to taste Salt
- Water, if required
- 2-3 tsp Oil
- 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
- 1 tsp Green chilli
How to Make Gujarati Rava Handvo

Add sooji, beetroot, lauki and curd in a mixing bowl. Mix well and let it rest for 15 minutes.

After 15 minutes, add salt and fruit salt and give a final mix. Add water if needed to adjust the consistency.

Heat oil in a pan/kadhai and prepare a tadka with mustard seeds and green chillies. Add the batter and cover the lid.

On low flame, cook one side till it turns crisp brown. Flip the handvo and cook the other side too.
5.
You can also transfer the handvo after it's cooked one side and repeat the tempering for other side.
6.
After preparing the tadka place the uncooked side of the handvo at the bottom and cook.
7.
Do a knife test and if it comes out clean then it is ready to be relished.
