Ingredients of Murungai Podi

  • 1 Cup Moringa leaves
  • 6-8 Garlic cloves
  • 3-4 Dried red chili
  • 1 tsp Black peppercorns
  • 2 tbsp Urad dal
  • 2 tbsp Chana dal
  • Salt according to taste

How to Make Murungai Podi

1.
Wash and properly dry the moringa leaves.

In a pan add just 1 tbsp oil and roast all the other ingredients together.
3.
In the same pan, add the leaves and dry roast until they are crisp.
4.
Mix everything and add salt, grind this to a medium-coarse consistency.
5.
You may drizzle some mustard oil or lemon juice right before consumption, but that's optional.
