Ingredients of No-Oil Vada Pav
- 3-4 potatoes, boiled and mashed
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 green chillies, chopped
- 1/2 ginger, grated
- 1/2 tsp haldi
- 1/2 tsp jeera
- 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
- A pinch of hing
- A handful of curry leaves
- to taste Salt
- Coriander leaves, chopped
- Besan or breadcrumbs, for coating
How to Make No-Oil Vada Pav

To make the vadas, add boiled potatoes, onion, green chillies, ginger, haldi, and salt to a bowl. Mash the potatoes using the back of a spoon, and make sure to combine everything together.

Now, add jeera, mustard seeds, hing, and chopped curry leaves to a pan. Roast for a minute or two, and then add this tempering to the potato mixture. Mix well.

Divide the potato mixture evenly and shape it into small balls. Flatten them out like a patty and roll them in breadcrumbs or besan.

Heat a tawa on a low to medium flame and place the coated vadas on it. Cook until they turn golden and crispy on both sides.

Now simply toast the pav buns, slit them from the centre, and apply pudina chutney. Place the prepared vada in it, and your no-oil vada pav is ready to be relished.
