Ingredients of 10-Minute Open Cheese Chili Toasties

  • 3-4 slices of bread
  • 1 onion , chopped
  • 1 tomato , chopped
  • 1 green chili , chopped
  • 1 capsicum , chopped
  • 1 carrot , chopped
  • 2-3 cloves of chopped garlic
  • Half cup boiled corns (optional)
  • Cheese spread
  • 4-5 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp red chili powder or chili flakes
  • 1 tsp black pepper powder
  • Salt as per taste

How to Make 10-Minute Open Cheese Chili Toasties

Let's start with cooking the veggies. In a hot pan add some butter, add chopped garlic and all the vegetables. Cook it for 10-15 minutes, ensure not to overcook them as it will make the vegetables soggy.

Once cooked keep it aside to cool down.

Now toast the breads in a toaster. Don't over heat it as it may burn the bread or make it hard.

Apply butter on the toasted bread and spread tomato sauce and cheese spread.

Top it with vegetables and seasonings mentioned above.

Generously add mozzarella cheese and bake the toast for 3-4 minutes on 190 degrees to make the cheese melt.

If you don't have an oven, you can place this toasted and topped bread on a pan and cover it with the lid to melt the cheese.
