Ingredients of Dhaba Style Dal Makhani

  • 1 Cup Soaked Urad Dal
  • 1 tbsp Cream
  • 1/2 cup Tomato Puree
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic paste
  • 2 Green Chillies
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • to taste Salt

How to Make Dhaba Style Dal Makhani

Soak urad dal for about 4-5 hours. Then pressure cook it until 3-4 whistles.

Drain out the black water from the dal. Rinse the cooked dal one more time.

Now, put it back in the pressure cooker and add the Kashmiri chilli powder, garlic, ginger, butter, cream, tomato puree, turmeric powder and salt.

Once done, mash the dal with the back of the ladle to mix it in well.

Garnish with a little cream (optional) and chopped coriander leaves.

Serve hot with parathas, kulcha or tandoori rotis.
