Ingredients of South Indian Fried Chicken

  • 1 chicken - cut into bite sized pieces
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground turmeric
  • 5 Tbsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp white urad dal
  • 1 tsp whole fennel seeds
  • 5 whole dried red chillies
  • 2 chopped onions

How to Make South Indian Fried Chicken

Rub the salt and turmeric over the chicken. Set aside for 30 minutes.

Heat oil, put in mustard seeds, followed by dal.

After a few minutes add fennel seeds and red chillies.

Add onions and fry until golden.
5.
Stir in chicken. Cook over a fast flame for ten to fifteen minutes.
6.
Moisten with a dash of water to prevent sticking.
7.
Remove from oil and serve with salad.
