Wash and rinse moong dal. Once done, soak it in enough water for 1-2 hours.
Take a pressure cooker and add the soaked dal to it. Add three cups of water to the pressure cooker and cook the dal for at least 3 whistles.
In the meantime, take a bowl and add besan, sour curd, red chilli powder and turmeric along with one cup of water. Mix well and let it sit for a while.
In a pan, heat some oil and add jeera, rye, green chillies, and curry leaves. Let the jeera splutter on a medium flame for a few seconds in the pan.
Once done, transfer the boiled moong dal to the pan and mix well. Make sure all the ingredients are combined well.
Cook the dal on a medium flame for 1-2 minutes. Now add the besan-curd mixture to the dal and mix. Let the ingredients combine well and cook on a simmer for 3-4 minutes.
Once done, remove the cooked dal from heat. Garnish with coriander leaves and ginger slivers, and it’s done!
