- 2 Tbsp butter
- 1 medium onion
- 6 cups chicken stock
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 1/2 cups natural peanut butter
- 2 tsp hot sauce
- 2 Limes (juiced)
- 2 tbsp peanuts, chopped
- 2 scallions, chopped
How to Make Virginia Peanut Soup

Melt the butter in a heavy bottomed pot over medium heat.

Add the onion and cook until translucent, about 10 minutes.

Bring the chicken stock to a boil in a medium saucepan. Whisk in the flour all at once and cook until the mixture has a toasty aroma.
