King Charles III's official coronation on May 6 was watched by millions across the world. Even as the ceremonies concluded, the celebrations did not. A special concert was organised the very next night, featuring performances by the likes of Katy Perry and Indian actress Sonam Kapoor also in attendance. That's not all - thousands of picnics and lunches were also hosted on May 7 in order to celebrate the king's coronation. British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and his wife Akshata Murthy too hosted a grand picnic lunch at their residence that featured cakes, pies and more. Take a look:

British PM Rishi Sunak hosted US First Lady Jill Biden and her granddaughter Finnegan Biden at his Downing Street residence. He had also invited some community heroes as per PTI, including British entrepreneur Navjot Singh Sawhney and Ukrainian refugees. The delicious feast had a number of cupcakes, cakes, sandwiches and tarts kept in the frame. We could also spot some quiches being enjoyed by the dignitaries.
"Brilliant afternoon welcoming some incredible community heroes to Downing Street for our very own Coronation lunch. The rain stayed away, the cakes were delicious and even Nova was on her best behaviour. From our street to yours, hope you are enjoying a great day," wrote Rishi Sunak in his post. He used the hashtag 'Coronation' and 'Big Lunch' along with his tweet.
Meanwhile, first lady Jill Biden too shared a picture from the coronation lunch hosted by Rishi Sunak. "Cheers! Thank you, Rishi and Akshata for welcoming me to your Coronation Big Lunch as we mark this special moment in history," she wrote. Take a look:

The official handle of the Royal Family also offered glimpses into the official Coronation Lunch hosted at Windsor Palace. We could spot a special themed cake with the words 'Big Coronation Lunch' written on it. There was also a delicious spinach quiche among the clicks.
