Aam ka chunda is a flavourful, liquid-y achar, commonly available in every Gujarati household. It is basically a combination of grated mango and sugar, spiced with mustard oil and a few tangy ingredients including red chilli powder, dry mango powder, asafoetida, et al.

Ingredients of Aam Ka Chunda
- 4 Cups Grated Raw Mangoes
- 1 tsp Turmeric powder
- 2 tsp Salt
- 3 cups Sugar
- 1 and a half tsp Red Chilli
- 1 tsp Roasted Cumin Seeds powder
- 1/2 tsp Dry Mango Powder
- to taste Black salt
- 1 tsp Grated Jaggery
- 1/4 tsp Hing
How to Make Aam Ka Chunda

In a pan, add grated mango, sugar and salt. Stir sugar and mango mixture well.

Add grated jaggery, powdered sugar, hing, red chilli powder and cumin powder.

Cook this until the mixture thickens and keep stirring to avoid the burn at the bottom.

Mix very well and once it cools down, pour the mixture into a jar. Pair it up with your meals.
