Ingredients of Kerala-Style Soya Roast
- For Marination:
- 3 cups Soaked Soya Chunks
- 1 tsp Haldi
- Salt To Taste
- 1 tsp Coriander Powder
- 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
- 1 tbsp Coconut Oil
- Other Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp Coconut Oil
- 1 tsp Saunf
- 1 tbsp Coconut Chunks
- 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- 2 Green Chillies (Chopped)
- Red Chilli Powder To Taste
- to taste Black Pepper
- Water (as required)
- 1 tsp Garam Masala
How to Make Kerala-Style Soya Roast

Soak soya chunks in warm water with salt. Cover and keep it aside for some time. Once the soya chunks turn soft and mushy, drain out the excess water.

Once done, marinate these chunks. For marination, take a bowl, add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt, coriander powder, lemon juice, and coconut oil. Coat all the soya chunks properly.

Heat coconut oil in a pan and add saunf, coconut chunks, curry leaves, ginger garlic paste, green chillies. Sauté them well.

Now, add chopped onion and cook until they turn brownish in colour.

Add spices like red chilli powder, black pepper powder, coriander powder and salt to taste.

Mix everything well. Then add marinated soya chunks, a bit of water and mix again.

Keep simmering for 4-5 minutes. Add water if required.

Sprinkle garam masala, coriander leaves, lemon juice and enjoy!
