London 2012 Slalom Canoe: Google Doodle Paddles Ahead
Oh yes, Google paddles ahead with its third interactive doodle this Olympics. Get ready to use your physical and mental strength to win the Canoe Slalom race. Don't worry, we aren't sending you to the London Olympics 2012. All you need are your furiously fast fingers, an agile mind and your computer screens.
Google does it again (kill our productivity, that is) with the London 2012 slalom canoe doodle game. Brace yourself (or your fingers!) for this wrist-bursting canoe game which takes the difficulty up a notch. Yes, it'll be a quite a bumpy ride ahead. The slalom canoe doodle allows the users to row an orange canoe with the left and right arrow keys and hitting these keys rapidly will give you speed. Be wary of water animals and sedimentary rocks on the way though, hitting these will slow down your canoe. The doodle also incorporates 10 downstream gates, marked with green striped poles.Slalom canoe began in Switzerland in 1932 and is also known as white water canoeing. It involves kayaking and canoeing, both. The players have to strategically navigate their way through the river rapids and the 25 hanging poles that act as barriers. It has been a regular Olympic sport since 1992.Pavol and Peter Hochschorner are veteran Slovak representatives in Slalom C2. They have won the world championship 10 times (last won in 2011) and also won a bronze at the London Olympics 2012.

This sport requires tremendous amount of energy to be able to row the canoe against the pressures of the water a solid strategy to avoid hitting the barriers.
