Rajma Pulao Recipe: How To Make Rajma Pulao

You'll need to soak rajma the night before. Pressure cook the soaked rajma till rajma is cooked through and soft. Soak rice for 20-30 minutes. Meanwhile, prepare a paste of ginger, garlic and green chillies.

Next, heat the oil in the pressure cooker and fry all the whole spices - bay leaf, green cardamom, black cardamom, cinnamon, cumin seeds and cloves. Add chopped onions, coriander leaves, and the paste and saute till the raw ginger-garlic smell goes away. Next, add the cooked rajma and season with haldi, red chilli powder, coriander powder and salt. Add the soaked rice, water and lemon juice. Pressure cook for 2-3 whistles and rajma pulao is ready!
