Nothing beats the joy of chomping on traditional delicacies during festivities. It not only makes us feel closer to our culture but also reminds us of our rich traditions and values. The Parsi community celebrated their New Year on March 21. Commonly known as Navroz, it marks the first day of the year for Parsis. Such occasions are meant to be celebrated with great enthusiasm and sumptuous feasts. So, to mark the occasion, Tara Sutaria has shared glimpses of the Parsi New Year celebrations at her house. So what did she do? She gorged on various classic Parsi delicacies. And, she did share some pictures of the mouth-watering delicacies on Instagram Stories.

Firstly, we can see a traditional platter. The food was served on a banana leaf. What's on the plate? A portion of a flavourful Parsi lagan mutton pulao and some amount of saas ni machhi cooked in white gravy. Tara wrote, “Saal Mubarak all.” She added, “What we cooked for Navroze today.”

In the next snap, Tara Sutarai has revealed some details about the dishes. She has dropped a picture of the rice and explained, “Used granny's recipe for a traditional Parsi lagan mutton pulao.”
Further, Tara Sutarai also shared a snapshot of the fish curry - saas ni machhi, and wrote, “And the spicy, sour and sweet fish we call saas ni machhi.”
Tara Sutaria is quite a foodie and her Instagram Stories are proof. A day right before the Parsi New Year, the actress turned chef and cooked up a storm in her kitchen. She prepared extra spicy ghee roast prawns paired with crumbly Malabari parathas. Tara captioned the photo, “I cooked after weeks. My extra spicy ghee roast prawn (with extra ghee) and tons of crumbly Malabari parathas.”

Last year, for the Parsi New Year, Tara Sutaria shared pictures of her yummy feast. The food was offered on banana leaves. She relished biryani, paratha, some sabzi and mutton/chicken curry. Tara wrote, “Navroze lunch at home”.
