There was a time when children would demand that their birthday cakes have dinosaurs, unicorns, or dolls on them. However, these days children are making some rather unconventional demands for their birthday cake decorations. Remember the viral Lion King-themed birthday cake for a three-year-old, which portrayed the heart-breaking scene of King Mufasa's demise? The latest addition to this quirky trend was an Anne Boleyn-themed birthday cake. A six-year-old girl specifically requested her birthday cake to depict the scene of Anne Boleyn's execution. The girl's father, Edmund Kingsley, shared a photo of the cake and has since gone viral.

On May 30, Edmund shared the photo on Twitter with a funny caption. He wrote, “Tomorrow, we'll have a six-year-old, and, like so many girls her age, she insisted on a cake depicting the future Queen Elizabeth I witnessing the execution of Anne Boleyn by Henry VIII.” The tweet has received over 22,000 likes and has been retweeted about 1,700 times.

One user with the handle @LeahFHardy commented, “Superb cake!” adding, “My daughter was obsessed with Henry VIII at a similar age. It was ‘come as your favourite monarch' day for the 2012 Diamond Jubilee” she said, sharing a picture of her daughter dressed as King Henry VIII.

Another user, who goes by the handle @popdollaz, commented, “This is super cool for a kids birthday cake. She must love her history and is clearly fascinated by certain instances in particular eras.”

However, not everyone was pleased with the quirky cake. A user with the handle @Valerie28835373 commented, “This is sad! To not tell of the horror of how Ann felt and make light of it to a six-year-old. Sad parents!!”

Another user who goes by the handle @SillyTribz asked, “What 6 year old asks for a cake picturing an execution without prompting?”

Despite the mixed reactions, one of the funniest comments came from a user with the handle @_una_tuna, who shared an image of the details on the cake and wrote, “It's the side-eye from the wives for me, such detail!”, with the emoji of a smiling face with tears.
