Bafauri is a chana dal-based steamed snack that makes a perfect snack to pair with your cup of tea. It resembles dal vada but includes no oil or the process of frying.

Ingredients of Bhojpuri-Style Bafauri
- 2 cups Soaked chana dal
- 1 Onion, finely chopped
- 2-3 Green chillies, finely chopped
- 1/2 tsp Ajwain
- 1-2 tsp Roasted jeera powder
- 2-3 tbsp Coriander leaves, chopped
- to taste Salt
How to Make Bhojpuri-Style Bafauri

Add the soaked chana dal in mixer grinder and make a smooth paste.

Add all the other ingredients in the paste and mix well.
3.
Heat a steamer and grease it well. Now, make small roundels out of the paste and add to the steamer.
4.
Steam it for at least 15-20 minutes. Once the pakoda is cooked, transfer them to a bowl.
5.
Serve hot with chutney of your choice.
