Ingredients of Bread And Butter Pudding

  • 6 White bread slices
  • Butter (for applying)
  • 1 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup low calorie sweetener
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • A pinch of nutmeg powder
  • 1/4 tsp green cardamom powder
  • 2 tbsp raisins

How to Make Bread And Butter Pudding

Preheat the oven at 180˚C.

Apply butter on one side and cut each into 4 pieces and set aside.

Heat milk in a deep sauce pan, add the low calorie sweetener and stir till it dissolves. Take the pan off the heat and allow to cool slightly.

Take a baking dish and arrange the slices with buttered side up. Set aside.

Break in the eggs in the sauce pan, add vanilla essence and whisk till well combined.

Add nutmeg powder and green cardamom powder and whisk well. Strain the mixture directly on to the bread.

Sprinkle raisins and bake for 30 minutes. Take the baking dish out of the oven and allow to cool slightly. Serve warm or cold.
