Ingredients of Jhajariya

  • 1/2 Cup Sweet Corn
  • Milk as required
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 4 tbsp Ghee
  • A pinch of cardamom powder
  • Kesar strands (Optional)
  • Raisins and nuts

How to Make Jhajariya

1.
Take the sweet corn and make a fine powder out of it.

In a pan heat ghee and roast the corn powder until slightly golden brown.

Add 1 cup milk and let it cook for 5 minutes. If you feel the milk has been soaked up, use more milk.

The consistency should be soft like a halwa. Not dry, not liquidy. Adjust milk according to this.

Add sugar and let it cook for another 2 mins.
6.
Sprinkle cardamom powder and take off the heat.
7.
Garnish with raisins, nuts, and Kesar strands. Serve hot.
